Maybe we can coax that nerd jerseygirl to toss some of her emargoed links our way.

and oh yeah, this is the sequel to the inaugural link dump from last month. now I am done.

I saw that goal as it happened, and if it was Darren Pang doing the color commentary, I think he dropped a load. It was simply amazing, and the REALLY cool thing? Cheechoo's dad was in the stands for it.

i could dump a few that i don't see getting more substantial at the moment. there may be a lot of red sox links. i know some are tired of all things boston and/or ny (understandably at times).

50 pts awarded to gspm for the title alone. And a bonus 100 pts for the keeping the 'link dump' alive. (WLIIA scoring system, British edition)

oh yeah, WLIIA, British Edition......good watching on university afternoons......Clive made Drew Carey look so pedestrian... AND the Cheechoo goal was sweeeeeet, though I am not even sure how you think of doing that in a game...it seems so awkward.

Well he had to...he was too far past the puck to chip it in the normal way.

gspm, thanks for that Cheechoo link, I was looking for a clip. How is this a dump, though, there's only two links??? Mas dumpage, por favor! Cute Houllier quote for today: "You would have to cut off both my arms before I let go of him because I would have them both wrapped around him." Just for StarFucker, of course.

Media Manny Ramirez talks about the offseason, the almost trade of the century, his teammates. Not only can he rake on the field, he's fun, he's down to earth, he's easy going, he giggles, he speaks eloquently and has a great grasp of his second language (he has been/is worried about not being able to express himself well in english). I wish he had been talking all these years he's been here. i love that he calls Gorden Edes "papi" at the end of the interview.

Don't forget his new site. And now I'm going to have Fannypack's "Hey Mami" stuck in my head all day. Which isn't so bad.

one user level i tried had a par of 43 and was more like a puzzle. neat. Flyers prospect goaltender Antero Niittymaki is creditted with a shorthanded OT goal in a strange situation in the final game of the Philadelphia Phantoms season. (via hockeypundits).

in scottish football - Glasgow's Celtic recently completed a 77 game unbeaten streak at home. Of note is that they recently had their pitch replaced. Their home results since then - draw (2-2 vs Hearts, SPL match), draw (1-1 vs Villareal, UEFA Cup), loss (1-2 vs Aberdeen, SPL match, ending the 77 game unbeaten streak) and loss (1-2 vs Dunfermline, SPL match this past weekend). So now they have a new streak - 4 games winless.

<snark>gspm, does this mean another club will have a chance to displace one of the Old Firm next season?</snark>
posted by billsaysthis at 10:06 AM on May 03, 2004
well, with celtic losing Henrik Larsson and probably manager Martin O'Neill they will likely be worse. Rangers won't have much money to improve their squad by the sounds of it. I can't see the third place team, Hearts, making it to second next year but you never know. The drop off between the old firm at the next tier is much like that between the big three and the rest in the EPL. Though, for the foreseeable future the best chance of a non old firm team topping the SPL would come if the old firm buggered off to play in the EPL or English 1st Div.

If you didn't catch it you must watch a clip from the Sharks vs Avs game from last weekend. Jonathan Cheechoo scores the goal of the year (wmv). Recommended for hockey fans, people who kind of like hockey, people who have only just heard of hockey or even anyone who has just heard of ice.
