Red Sox Numerology:
Pats 20 Rams 17
What two numbers are between those two scores?ÿ 18 and 19.
Now reverse them (symbolically reversing our fortunes): 19 and 18......1918
Therefore end of the curse...this is Boston's year!

This Boston Curse thing is so tiresome. Call me crazy, but I think this is the end of it all. The Pats win the Superbowl. The Bruins will win the Stanley Cup. The Red Sox and the Celtics might win whatever trophies can be won in their respective lame-ass sports, if you care about that. Get ready for Boston's resurgence. 1918? Non-issue.

Get real, the Sox are doomed no matter what. Nomar will be on the DL by May, Pedro is a great pitcher, but he is getting weaker each year, so forget about it Sox fans you should give up hope, you will have less stress in your life.

Actually, Pedro showed up about ~10 pounds heavier this year, mostly muscle. He worked out all winter so as to not have that now-regular late summer fade when his smaller frame gets worn by the beating of a regular season schedule. This IS the year. Unless something goes wrong...

The Redskins only win the Superbowl when there's a Republican in the White House (Reagan-2, Bush-1). Which is why, even as a Democrat, a small part of me didn't mind Bush II going in...

Someone just questioned the existence of the Curse of the Bambino? Lefty Grove, Bobby Doerr, Yaz, Johnny Pesky, Rico Petrocelli, Roger Clemens, Luis Tiant, Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice, Dwight Evans, Fred Lynn, Nomar Garciaparra, Pedro Martinez and "my name is Ted F***ing Williams and I'm the greatest hitter in baseball" World Championships? Zero. Who beat them out? Bucky Dent and Bill Buckner to name two. I like this year's team but I'd never question the curse. I predict Carl Everett hits an inside-the-park home run to beat the Red Sox in Game 7 of the ALCS.

Bill Buckner had nothing to do with 1986, Mookie would have beaten out the hit anyway.
