Sportsfilter Fantasy Hockey Week... Twelve! After a holiday break, the new year begins with not much change. A few minor movements here and there, but the overall picture is mostly the same: Crap City Crapadiens, Sammy's Ice Holes, and the Arrogant Champs continue to hold the top three spots.

Still sufferring from the effects of Jan 1? You've go the "Rank" column left over from the previous week. What's interesting is that gspm and myself REALLY hit the skids (sorta) since the last update (losing 11.5 and 6 points respectively), making this a much closer race than I thought it was going to be. Also, I find it VERY frustrating being in the top 5 for Goals and Assists, but 14th for +/-! I'm not sure how to correct it, but when my team scores 4 goals and gets 5 assists in a night, you don't expect them to go -6 as well! BTW: Samsonov14 sucks!

Oops. Well, the order is still right so ignore that.

You're just coming back to the pack, baby, and if I ever find someone to make me a decent offer for Selanne, you are going down!

the worst GAA, les colecos, is only a mere 2.68 Man, don't mock my GAA! My goalie situation is desperate. 2.68 is country miles away from respectability, and also what prevents me from fighting for the top spot. I drafted Mike Dunham in 3rd round. Trading Weight and Kovalchuk for Thornton and Satan has turned out very well... for trox. How many guys have you got left from your draft? I'm at 7 (from 16 drafted).

I'm at 5 from the original draft. Big surprise there, given my transaction total. York and Kozlov were mistakes to let go. Holding 6 goalies at the moment, and praying for ankle or groin injuries.

My first seven picks (2 goalies, 2 forwards, 3 defence) are all still on my team. My biggest regret is ditching Jason Blake. I've been the most active waiver wire participant, but haven't gotten much except Prusek. I've mostly added players who were left unnoticed as FA, like Czerkawski and Spezza. There is a lot of churn on my team, but it's not doing much. I'm much more active in shifting players around on my lineup.

Spezza wasn't unnoticed. I ditched him when he was slumping.

the pool was hardly over a few weeks back when my team was ahead by 15 points. it seemed like a big margin and sure, if those players kept putting up the stats then maybe it wouldn't have been much of a race but of course that didn't happen. my goalies crap out and now I am back amongst the leaders but not likely to surge way out in front any time again. which I guess should make it interesting if anybody else can put together a good run and find themselves in top spot for a while.

Nothing I do will get me out of 8th place, it seems. From memory, I've got Hossa, Guerin, Blake, Redden, Robitaille, Lecavalier, Potvin, and Fernandez from the original draft. Consider most of them available if you've got a decent (starting) goalie to share. I've made my share of blunders. Dropping Joseph was a blunder. But I grabbed Kiprusoff when he was sitting idle for weeks! You people! Anyway, like I said, nothing I've done has made an iota of difference in the standings.

Well, I believe my trade of Selanne will move me. I'm just not sure in which direction.
