In both the main SpoFi page and the Locker Room, the "There have been X posts and X comments since your last visit" are hardly ever accurate (win 98, IE 6). There are times when I know a new post (or two or three) have been made or new comments, but it's often very difficult to try to remember how many comments there were in a particular thread last time I was here.

Well, at least I'm not the only one, corpse (but that's as I suspected). I just don't if there's much that can be done. I'm no techno-guy.

FWIW, this doesn't happen to me on MeFi or BlogRoots. Is anybody else having this problem? If not, don't worry about it, I can deal. If it's a widespread issue, then is there anything we can do about it?
