Available to a good home:: One QB, slightly worn. If Houston doesn't want him, he's all yours. Considering we went 2-14, it's probably a blessing for him anyway.
Hell no. I was just writing it in the style of a "for sale" ad. Good god, no. I bleed burgundy and gold...

No thanks, I'll "pass".

I think I'd hire Jeff George before I'd take a look at Charlie Batch.

Ah, Mr. George, so ever full of potential, the best quarterback never to become a great quarterback. His best days were at Warren Central High School when he led the Warriors to two State Championships. With all that said, I would also take him before Batch. (He's got some serious potential, you know.)

I would take Charlie Batch before Jeff George. I would take my mom (who's never played football and doesn't even really understand the game) before Jeff George. I would unearth the remains of J. Edgar Hoover, slap on a uniform and use krazy glue to keep the bones in place before I would ever hire Jeff George.

What about the real draft. Are they really going to take Carr over Harrington?

"we"? (owillis, are you a Lions fan?) Batch is a solid second or third-string QB. He just doesn't seem consistent enough to be "the man" for a whole season. Of course, it's hard to tell. When is the last time the Lions had a great QB. It could be more about the system. (Is it mere coincidence that San Francisco continues to churn out high quality QBs?)
