I am kind of on the NFL's side on this one. How many corporations have dropped health insurance (or made it very expensive) for their retirees? These folks are encouraged to make plans for their retirement while still working and to not count on the employer nor Social Security for their retlirement well being. NFL player salaries are much higher than the norm for the time they are playing. Maybe they should have the foresight to spend some of this salary on some retirement security.

urall cloolis is absoultely correct. Thomas has a history of "punk ass" behavior. The walk off at the end of the Bulls game back in the day defines his character. He deserves the largest suspension.

I have never seen an outfielder better than Roberto. This coming from a Cub fan. Right field at Wrigley is a tough field to play. Roberto made it look easy. Picking an all-time team over the decades is pretty tough. A better way to initiate conversation would be to pick a team for each decade and then argue over which decade was the best.

Tony wasn't talking about going too fast. What he was talking about was one hitting another in the ass a 180 mph to make him go faster for a short time. Its called a bump draft. That just is not safe and I agree with him. They are also slapping cars side to side to gain a little on each other. That's crazy also.

Take a look at Sam Smith's article in the Chicago Tribune this AM. Makes a lot of sense for both teams. Davis for Tim Thomas and draft picks and money.

The sneaky little bastard lost all respect when he led a team walkoff before the game was over versus the Bulls years ago. He hasn't done a thing since to change my mind.

Cubs Player, Broadcaster Ron Santo Dies
Thank Joe Morgan for leading voters against Ron. Glad to see Morgan lost his announcing job for next year.
