Chargers made some bonehead mistakes like not falling on the ball after fumbling a punt. Dropping an easy pick. Dropping catches. Not taking advantage of turnovers. Reviewing an obvious fumble but I don't blame Marty on that. Re: LT got in a fight at the end of the tight game.....Can you back that up? I haven't seen any other indication of that, although I must admit I was so disgusted that I walked out after the missed field goal. Did I miss something?

rcade-It has to be bitter for A's fans No it isn't, at least not with me. I learned back with losing Big Mac, which I took badly at first, that many very good players can come from giving up one great one. I'm glad Zito is still in the bay area and he has my upmost respect but he alone cannot take the Giants to the Series. Although the A's can never seem to close the deal, I'm sure we'll be back in contention as usual.

Sorry, I mixed up the analogy of throwing rocks in glass houses and throwing the first stone. Two completey different meanings but none the less I think you get the drift. What can I say, I haven't read the bible lately.

Wow, seems to me that these posts are attacking each other as much as they are attacking Dontrelle. I have driven while under the influence. I don't anymore but I have. I still drink but very seldom drink beyond my means. That doesn't make me any better than anyone else but my point being for all the clean and sobers out there, give Dontrelle a chance to accept his responsibility. If he is the man that he has thus far portrayed himself to be then he will accept responsibility. People do make mistakes and fess up to them. Let's at least give him that chance. If he is guilty let him take his punishment and be done with it. To those that have stated that stones have been thrown in glass houses, I agree. When I quit smoking over ten years ago I was told that the worst smoker to be around was an ex-smoker. I've always been tolerant of people that continued to smoke. Ex-drinkers I've had a harder time with. I feel sometimes that I'm in church listening to the gospel when I'm around sober alcoholics. I'm sorry for those of you that could not manage your drinking but it doesn't make everyone who consumes alcohol irresponsible. And by the way, I still piss outside when it's necessary, sober or not.

mdavidsf- Good point. I think a lot of people forget or never realized that he has admitted to taking steroids. He did this long before Congress.

SAVANX-A horse's ass he is not. I watched him come into to MLB and while he may have not been the most responsive player to the media I witnessed him time and again stopping for the fans. He gave the media appropiate time. I often wondered if I had that kind of talent, how in the world could I focus on my game with the demands the media expects. Not every athlete has the attitude of a Terrell Owens. Thank goodness. Some are, by nature, more reclusive. There is nothing wrong with that. They simply want to do their craft at their highest capability and leave it at that. I was also let down at the way he responded to Congress but I do believe that the steroids he took in his time were a part of baseball. I don't agree with it but as others have stated before me it's a bad by product of MLB. MLB needs to clean up their act and stop sweeping everything under the carpet.

Big deal, I always bowl with my eyes closed! Really though, this is pretty special.

Excuse me but profanity is not allowed on this site. Having said that, F--- Mr. Mount Al Davis. And go home where LA still loves you. I have read this lengthy article in its entirety, I must admit that this was the outcome I had hoped for. I am happy that the Athletics and the Fremont powers came to an agreement. Put me first in line for season tickets.

Quick, name a sulking NFL receiver looking bad on the sidelines: My first thought was Randy Moss but then again he looks bad on the field as well dropping pass after pass. I'm an avid Charger fan but I'll tell you, Indy is the team to beat right now. Indy fans gotta love their consistency.

No to this rule. When I lived San Diego and had season tickets to the Chargers we were fined for putting the noise meter on the big screen and this was back in the mid 90's. I could'nt believe it. Look it up, it's true. We went to Denver and had to deal with it, why didn't they have to deal with us without a fine.

dbt302 I second that. His mental game can be as good as his physical game and it just got sharpened. He will be tough to beat.

Friggin Brilliant. I'm not a Red Sox fan, I'm not a NY fan of any kind. But boy do I love baseball. Great job, thanks for the time put into it.

Chargers flushed, Peyton vs. Brady again
Re: Marty coming back next season. Look it, I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with who knows more than I. Most of you follow this 24/7 and I don't but this has been bothering me all morning. How can anyone say that Marty should be gone? He just led them to their best record in Charger history and the best record in the NFL this year. Yes I'm disturbed as to how poorly they played yesterday. Being a fan since Air-Coryal I'm used to many heartbreaks. Bobby Ross didn't get along with Beathard. So what. I guess this explains why I've been an Oakland A's fan for so many years. Boy do I know how to pick them. One last note. About 5 or 6 weeks ago I made a post stating that Indy was the team to beat. I got shot down for that remark by everyone. The response was Baltimore and San Diego were the teams to beat. Sometimes it's better not to know as much.
