NHL fans see Bettman as the village idiot. As for me, it was a guy in high school who banged his head into a brick wall over an ex girlfriend.

RIP Bowie. Ueberroth, a politician, succeeded him, and Bat Giammatti succeeded him to oust Charlie Hustle. After that, Fay came, certainly a poor choice, who was easily deposed of by Selig, and probably one of the most controversial heads of a pro league all time took the helm. Selig is undoubtedly the most controversial head dog to head the MLB ever til now, and possibly forever, if the Bonds thing does not goi away, and it certainly seems like it is going nowhere. If Bonds were to hit 756 in 2008, Selig would gamble like Charlie, because the one thing he wanted and thought would never happen, a one year delay of his nightmare, had happend.

It is not only Duke. When you see so many favorites winning, there has got to be a problem. That means NIT teams got seeds 9-16, and probably all or most 1 and 2 seed NIT teasm should be in the Dance.

Staples HQ is in Boston, but Staples Center is here in L.A. People go there love it, and see it as the best arena in North America. Nobody cares. However, it is not a good thing, one can say that, for those actually know. Honda Center in Anaheim is named after a Japanese company. When the Nets move to Brooklyn, their arena will be called the Barclays Center, even though the back is in green ole England. Many fans care, but again, most could care less, and many do not even know.

We just lost a Triple Crown winner that never was, a modern day Seabiscuit. A legend like Seattle Slew, Secretariat, or Affirmed. RIP Barbaro.

I say Saints next week. Pats have not gone dry for two years. Plus, in 2003, the Pats beat an NFC South team in CAR, and won the next Bowl in Florida the next year. Brady's great on turf, at RCA. I say NE def. NO in XLI. Ya Reggie's great, but HOF QB's beat rookie HOF RB's any day of the week.

You know how they'll gather $250 million. Sports Authority and Sport Chalet stores here in LA will be chocked full of people trying to buy jerseys.

An update from KC. Mario is meeting Rendell in Pitt today. They agreed on most things, but not everything. They're gonna negotiate. Most people think it is a bluff, the deal's done. I think theree's hope of staying put.

If you want to think about Bam Margera, he taped an episode where he played human pinata and another where he played human bowling, using oversized pins and Weeman as the human bowling ball. To tie sports here, Don Vito and Len Pasquarelli look like long lost twin brothers. Darts is a sport, and a cool one at that. However, the question is whether it belongs in London in 2012

It seems like as long as KC doesn't choke a few hours from now, the deal will be set, Super Mario will fly back to Pitt tonight, setting up tomorrow. He will give Rendell and Pitt city officials their last chance to stop him from moving the team. Unless Rendell has one last miracle to work, Super MArio will have Bettman make announcement. However, Winnipeg is the wild card here, only they can stop Super Mario from moving to KC. However, if KC chokes today, it's gonna be the

Believe me, I hope they stay there, I had a friend who loved the Pens, I want them to stay. Also, about KC, I believe they'll choke. They might land the Sonics or some other NBA team, but I believe they'll choke. I think Winnipeg is the only viable destination if the Waterloo miracle doesn't happen. However, let's wait and see, Mario might get his arena, somebody might have mercy on him, although he seems to be left out in the cold now. I hope he gets the arena for Christmas and is able to save his team... again.

TV is the key for the NHL. Also, I didn't say contract 8 teams, I read on the site of a Canadian paper during the lockout. I do NOT want that to happen, I just read about it. That's something that, purportedly, is something that Bettman is itching to do.

I say they'll go for the whole enchilada. They make the lines thicker, add color to the ice, make the ricks bigger, nets bigger, realign the teams, change a ton of rules, change the goalie jerseys, plus contract. Bettman wanted to contract to 22 teams: 11 on each side. Each Conference would have a North division and a South divison, and each conference would have 6 teams in the strong division and 5 teams in the weak one. They would also put the guarantee that the top two tams make the playoffs. Also, they would contract the playoffs to four teams from each side. That means only 3 teams would miss out. What's interesting is what a team that won the cup like Carolina will do now, they;re on the hit list. Anaheim was also on the list, but with the way they're playing somebody else will be put in: I think LA (no!) or SJ. Anyway, I hav a strange feeling that KC will choke and Mario's gonna go to Winnipeg. The Pens will then be in the Western Conference, I assume North division. If you're wondering, the Avs were off the list.

The candidates by chance: 1. KC 2. Winnipeg 3. Hamilton 4. Waterloo/Kitchener (Balsillie) 5. Vegas 6. Portland 7. Houston 8. Seattle 10. Hartford 11. Halifax It seems like it's KC or Winnipeg. I say if KC chokes on this one, the Winnipeg Penguins at MTS Centre will be for real. Anyway, we all agree that they'll out of the Steel City after this season.
