Open wheel racing in the US may finally be united again.: For the first time in 12 years, there are real efforts afoot to bring together the Champ Car series and the IRL.

Only a hose? Depends what you put in the hose I guess. This unification is about a decade too late. The Indianapolis 500 is irrelevant now. It's great to be able to say one of my favourite drivers Montoya won it, but really, he won an event that is a shadow of what it once was. If they did reunite, and then split again, what would they do with their publicity icon, Danica? Would they slice her in two? Or share her alternate weekends and holidays? US open wheel was killed with the split. It says a lot for US open wheel when the multiple times champion of Champcar would rather go and race in a mediocre F1 team.

Drood, you took the words right out of my mouth! But do you really think they would split again if they do get back together? I think the fan base and $$$ would show that it would be worth it, at least until Tony George got mad and took his race track and went home.

I gave up on CART (and the scabs) a long time ago, so frankly, I won't believe it 'till I see it. Danica=scab

Why would anyone thank Tony George? Tony is an egomaniac idiot that deserves a big hose in his mouth!!
