Due to injuries, however, the Eagles were apparently forced to start Stephen Hawking at left tackle I would point how mean this is but with an IQ of about 570 Stephen Hawking really doesn't give a shit what you or I think. That and its pretty damn funny.

Detroit (+3.5) at WASHINGTON: Detroit is 2-20 against Washington since 1968, but how can the Lions be an underdog to a team that signed Keenan McCardell for receiver help? Lions 23, Redskins 17. Not only are the Lions 2-20 against Washington since 1968, they have never won in Washington. Hopefully that changes this week.

I heard that stat thrown out, YYM, but I couldn't verify it in time for the column.

No way the Rams are going to lose to the Cardinals by 17 points regardless of injuries.

Who on the Rams is going to score? They've had enough trouble as is with their starters playing.

Rams didn't lose by 17 but it doesn't help much.

In their defense they did score. They just didn't do much to stop the Cardinals from doing the same thing. As for the Lions, at least they kicked a field goal. That should count for something.

21 points for the Panthers? Are you *high*? Who, pray tell good sir, is going to score for Carolina on Sunday? Other than the cheerleaders, that is. I don't think the Panthers are capable of getting within Kasay's range anymore. And that's really saying something as you just need to be within the goal post's zip code for Kasay to score. I think that there will be a shutout and this will turn the Saints' season around. Meanwhile, here in the Carolinas, there will be much wailing and gnashing of the teeth on Monday. In the future, John Fox will be given a few more chances before the Marty Shottenspellcheck or Bill Cowher rumors start flying fast 'n furious. The Queen City will soon be the spiritual capitol of misery. That, my friends, is the only thing you can count on these days when it comes to the Panthers.
