The Free Akili petition: is swinging into full gear. Show the SpoFi spirit and get Akili a starting job -- even if it's in the CFL. :)

If Smith isn't started, we ask Mr. Brown that he trade Akili to a team that will at least give him a shot. The only bad thing with that is, who would trade for him? And for what? Draft picks? The Bengals might be able to get a 7th, maybe 6th, round pick for him based on potential, but that's about it. I don't see them accepting that for a former #3 overall pick. Smith will languish in the cesspool of football futility, until his contract runs out in a couple years, and there's not much to be done about it. (note: This all hinges on Mike Brown retaining his owner/GM position. If he gives in and appoints an actual GM, this team will almost certainly begin to show improvement.)

I'd like to enact a "No Dissing the CFL" policy here on SpoFi please. Football the way it was intended!
