School's in for Oilers charity: Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation to contribute $20 to $30 Million to reconstruct inner-city high school and build residence for students living on the streets.

I am a Calgary Flames fan and I applaud the Oilers for doing this but... Alberta may be going through one of the biggest economic booms in North American history with the province struggling to spend the surplus and yet here is a hockey team having to step in and pay for what is a city and provincial responsibility. Good for the Oilers, bad for the Province of Alberta. I know that was political but I just wanted to get it off my chest.
