It's too bad the Canadian Baseball League tanked after half a season. I still have my London Monarchs baseball cap and signed "Joe Thornton Day" front-row ticket! I'll be honest, it was pretty lousy baseball. Maybe rookie level baseball (A or A+), but it was still fun to see guys playing their hearts out.

I never did get to a Monarchs game (I was busy that week), but I did have season tickets for the London Tigers, and went to quite a few London Werewolves games. We still have the London Majors (Intercounty League). All of the teams were good fun, a great bargain, and what a beautiful historic ballpark.

I blame Barry Bonds. Speaking of baseball in Canada, congrats to Matt Stairs on becoming the 3rd Canadian player to play in 1500 games. Interesting article; thanks.

It's too bad the Canadian Baseball League tanked after half a season. (With Calgary as champs.) It'd be nice to see baseball get back in favour here.
