I agree, afx. That photo just made my day. I had an incredibly stressful day and I'm in the middle of cleaning the house in anticipation of my parents spending a week with us, but that the incredible joy being in expressed in that photo just perked me up. I think I'll have to keep that photo bookmarked for days just like these.

Yeah, its an SI link, but Frakes' photography is excellent and I tried to expand it beyond a single link to SI. Sorry if it didn't do it for you.

I like the Carl Lewis pic as well. (but why is Borat running next to him?)

Why's the first one called "Panther Sandwich"? That's clearly a Titan sandwich on Panther bread. Thanks for the link, Joey.

I could look at pictures like this all day. My favorite is number 7, the female TCU fans, especially the blonde-headed kid making the face between their legs. Classic.

The shot of the kid with the "Jack Benny Look" on his face is priceless, and the Billy Donovan shot just gave me a wonderful new backdrop for my webpage. Nice link, Joey.

I love, love, love, love sports photography, and this is some excellent stuff. Thanks for posting it. BTW, for other fans of the genre, the AP Manual of Sports Photography is both great reading and great viewing. It's a craft-and-technique book rather than a coffee-table book, but of course it's got some great examples, along with explanations of how the shots happened.
