The Curse of Muldoon! : Despite boasting great talents over the years, the Blackhawks now have the longest streak of not winning the Stanley Cup of any team in the NHL and things aren't looking promising this year either. A short primer on another Mythical Chicago Sports Curse. Does a Boxer make a great Hockey Coach.?

You know they start out pretty good I'm at least thinking playoffs then either injuries or they were just lucky they are in a hole already and it sickens me damn what happened the chicago wolves should switch with them and get rid of WIRTZ I know it's family owned but Chicagoans still love the team that bought us cold steel on ice

Yeah, not till Bill Wirtz dies will the Chicago Black Hawks even have a fighting chance. Some owners are just completely disinterested in fielding a winning team, and you just have to wait them out. There's little other recourse. (I say this as a veteran of the Harold Ballard era, from which, in a lot of ways, the Leafs have yet to completely recover.) Hang in there. Because it's just one grumpy old fart instead of an institutional bureaucracy owning their franchise, I'd be willing to bet that the Hawks will win a Cup before (for example) the Cubs win a World Series.

Good article, but it says "Chicago has one other claim to fame that no other city has -- sports curses." People from Philadelphia (and other places) would argue with this. Although it seems that in the Blackhawks' case, Dollar Bill rather than any mysterious curse holds them back.
