I guess I'll just have to hitch up my pants and move on. He will surely be missed.

This makes me sad. He always seemed to be a class act.

I always connected Arnold Palmer with Golf. If someone said the word golf the first thing that came to my mind was Arnold Palmer. I hope he takes time to get his back & hips fixed and then have a very enjoyable retirement. The old gaurd is leaving isn't it?

Although Arnie has not been competitve in many years, his presence will be missed by the whole golf world. A more gracious man, a more fiery competitor, or a more respected icon of sport, you would be hard pressed to find. PGATOUR.com has excellent articles regarding Arnie's decision to quit, as well.
