US Soccer May Name Coach: ... in 30-60 days. I don't know if a new coach would be able to install their system in time for a successful showing at Copa.
I hadn't seen Eriksson's name mentioned in this context yet. That's an interesting choice. He was not that great for England, as his rigid approach handcuffed a very talented roster. But for an American club that lacks true world-class talent, his structured system might enable them to play up to the next level.

I just don't see Eriksson working in that role (but what the hell do I know). If I were a betting man, my money would be on Nowak.

I will write many, many negative letters to USSF if they name SVG the coach.

Trox, you could be on to something. Maybe he wants them to wait and see if he wins another trophy, to leave United on a big up note. Though if the team don't win it, where are they left?

I see the Klinsmann speculation continues, though the Pekerman rumor is new to me. I'd think that language would limit the latter's effectiviness though and my argentine friends weren't very sad to see him resign either.
