Jeremy Mayfield released from ride: Oh well, JM needs to accept that he wasn't doing good and his attitude wasn't real good either. Ray Evernham needed to make changes so he let JM go. JM wants to try and take the team to court over this. What a waste. Get over it Jeremy and move on!

Mayfield was competive finish 10 and 9 in the standings in 2004 and 2005 with a win in each season but than Baldwin left and they just had to take Kenny Francis (Mayfields Crew Chief) and put him with Kasey Kahne in the #9 Dodge and get a new Chief for Mayfield, its not Mayfields fault hes not competive its Evernhams for taking away his crew chief Mayfield should be pissed at Ray for what he did

I'm sure there's a sentence there somewhere.

I remember seeing him interviewed on Wind Tunnel on Speed (before they cut it back to one night. Pricks) and the guy is a tool. So this news makes me giggle.

A good driver and crew chief should click. If Baldwin left of his own accord, then Mayfield needed to get along with his replacement and at least try to convey what as a driver he needs. If things aren't going good then the driver needs to get together with the whole team and iron differences out instead of waiting until it is way too late into the season.

Baldwin did not drive the car Jeremy did,put a rookie in there or someone who can work well with others, that Jeremy is a snotty brat.He was not to good anyway even with Baldwin,I would have replaced him 2yrs ago.10th 2yrs and 9th one yr. ago and still wasn't a threat to win the chase.See you in the truck series.

Jeremys Crew Chief in 04/05 was Kenny Francis and Kasey Kahnes 04/05 Crew Chief and Kahnes 06 Crew Chief was Kenny Francis and im not sure who Jeremy Mayfields 06 Crew Chief was but it was not Tommy Baldwin cause Tommy Baldwin was Elliott Sadler Crew Chief So I dont Know where you got that Tommy Baldwin was Jeremy Mayfield Crew Chief

Ease up on each other, guys. Remember that cyber-english and English are different things. Just get the word out to Todd Parrott that Jeremy is available. Lordy mercy, he is going to need somebody to help him clean up that mess at RYR. There is a rumor around and about that Mark Martin is checking his change purse for enough to buy the whole shit 'n shebang (a little Southern colloquialism there, just for fun). It makes sense that Robert Yates would thin back a bit in his race shop's dollar value in order to make it a little less pricey for a buyer.

You're welcome, chico, and yerfat. You are correct, someone has to do it. It's a tough job, but I think I'm up for the assignment.

Well go teach that to the kids in school. These days they could use all the help they can get. Were out of school. We don't need the ole' teacher trying to correct us wrong or right. If you can't make it out, well then there lies the problem.oooooommmmmmm you spelt yerfat wrong, alert the press.

kc, I didn't spell it wrong. I shortened it, like you might Thomas to Tom for instance. By the way, it's we're, not were , and apparently you do need someone correcting you. It's laziness that creates poor spelling, and punctuation. Poor punctuation makes it much, much harder to follow someones point or logic. I understand things get misspelled, as we all mistype on occasion, but there is NO reason to not insert a comma, or period where one belongs. That's just common sense and courtesy to your fellow spo-fiers. Please bring any mistakes I make to my attention, that's the only way I can improve my grammar and punctuation. I have been out of school for about 25 years, but I don't ever want to stop learning. It shows ignorance that once you're not a 'kid' that you don't think you have any thing further to learn. I want to be learning something new, discovering something, and having someone teach me something new on my last day alive on this earth. My concern is far more with punctuation and grammar than it is with spelling.

Ahem. I think kckurtbusch has shown before that he's a back-of-the-class sort of guy, so let him play in his mud puddle and go on your merry way. On topic: I'm surprised at the Mayfield move, and yet I'm not. I thought he'd be let go at the end of the season, or when the Chase began, to make room for somebody young and unknown, who Evernham could turn into the next Kahne or Edwards. And, while Mayfield can be a competitive driver, he's not competitive enough on the track to be an asshole to his teammates and ownership off of it. Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr., that's one thing, but Jeremy Mayfield? Not quite.

This is big news here in Mayfield's hometown. The local news is speculating that he will be driving a Toyota next year.

Meanwhile, speculation is that Elliott Sadler's gonna be in the 19.

You'd know about shotened. You had two whole days to think up a comeback, and that's the best you can do? You didn't even spell it right! Kurt Busch wants you to change your username...you're embarrassing him.
