Braves Beef up Bullpen with Baez: The Atlanta Braves, who recently aquired veteran Bob Wickman from Cleveland, aquired another reliever to strengthen their bullpen. Does the addition of Baez make the Braves favorites to win the wildcard?

If he does for the Braves what he did for the Dodgers, they will finish in last place!!! RIP...

Yea but it's too bad they had to get rid of a top prospect in Either (who isn't even 20 yet) in the process for a 26 year old who has never played a full season.

Outside of the Mets, the whole National League stinks to high-heaven. This guy won't make a bit of difference to any team.

...too bad they had to get rid of a top prospect in Either... Do you mean Andre Ethier? He's still on the club. Baez has been less than good for the Azul this year, so I'm not mourning his departure. I would have preferred to keep Aybar, he's a switch-hitter who bats for average and he would have been pretty handy if Kent goes down again (or if he doesn't complete his contract in L.A.). But Betemit's power is sorely needed.

Compared to the rest of the Braves bullpen Baez is a vast improvement. Aybar could be a really good utility for the Braves too. I think they came out on top in this trade.
