UCLA Gives Dorrell a quarter million dollar raise.: Coming off a 10-2 season is this going to be the year UCLA finally gets some of the respect it deserves? Will they make L.A. a true two football powerhouse season? Oh and Howland got a nice chunk of change too.

Yeah, great...and this was also the year that CU axed its mens' tennis program, which had been around since 1915. The program's entire annual budget was $350,000. There are days when I just wanna say the hell with football, especially college football.

The USC-UCLA football matchup this year had the city electrified for weeks. Too bad the Bruins rolled over and played dead when game day arrived! Better luck next year, Coach Dorrell.

Back in the day, meaning before the much hated (by me anyway) BCS, the USC/UCLA game used to actually mean something. Many times, just like my beloved Michigan/Ohio State game (Go Blue!), it determined who went to the Rose Bowl. Oh for the good old days!
