"It's very hard to make Latasha Byears disappear because Latasha Byears is a fighter," she said. Nice to see that Latasha Byears is already able to talk about Lathasha Byears in the third person. Latasha Byears will be just fine.

Great article, lilnemo -- some revealing comments from her former teammates, too. I'm really glad she stuck to her guns, got back in the league, and is getting to play with some of her former LA teammates too.

Interesting that the only Sparks left from Byears tenure are Mabika and Leslie.

Dave Zirin will be on ESPN's Outside the Lines Sunday morning at 9:30 AM discussing this (Latasha Byears) case, as well as other issues involving gender and sexuality in sports. Zirin always has some insightful commentary/analysis ... I'm looking forward to hearing what he has to say on this issue.
