Seems like this might work out for the best for the lakers. Glad to hear it.

great for both teams, the only team it hurts is the suns. They lose one of their best post season players of this year. Because Amare is coming back it shouldn't affect them too bad, but Tim Thomas was a phenomenal midseason pickup last year. Look for Sam I AM to leave LA

I think Tim Thomas is not a great signing. He had a very good playoff run, mostly because of the free-wheeling Suns' system and of course because of the presence of MVP Nash, but we've seen this before; he has a good run, signs a contract and then goes back to being an underachieving locker room distraction. Look for him to revert to form.

Also in the FA headlines: The Mavs resign Jet for six years, and (wow!) Peja has orally committed to sign with NO/OKC.

I think that the Lakers will continue to make a few more moves this offseason. Andrew Bynum is on the chopping block, and the ycould stand help inside, and at the point. Somehow I think that they have a legit shot at making the playoffs, and regain some of L.As lust.

With Brand and Chris Plummer, oops, Kaman, Thomas can do what he likes best... Play very few minutes off the bench. Radmo has been nothing but a dissapointment, originally billed as another Peja, he's turned into another Kwame, and now he can go play with him. Considering the lack of talent currently on the Lakers roster, he should contribute, but the Clips didn't lose much here. Thomas may be an idiot underachiever, but Radmo is too, and at least Thomas has shown up in a few games over his career.

I thought Radmanovic was going to stay with the Clips, but the move makes sense. On the Clippers roster he would be playing behind either Maggette or Ross, coming off of the bench most nights. With the Lakers, he has a legitimate chance to start. The Lakers get a proven spot up shooter to take pressure off of Lamar/Kwame in the post and Kobe on the wing. This is likely the bulk of the Lakers offseason signings. The Clippers (astoundingly) worked quickly to secure Thomas, who, depending on what you believe, is the steal of the free agency period, or just plain stealing money. Having said that, Thomas possesses an eerily similar skill set to that of Radmanovic. Thomas is more athletic, mobile, and a better defender. Radmanovic may be a slightly more efficient shooter. Seeing as how Cassell also opted not to resign with the Clips, one wonders if they are done shopping.
