"At Play in a Land of Death": I wish ESPN used its Worldwide Tentacles to do more stories like this one on the Right to Play organization.

Thanks, smithers. That's one hell of an article. I'm speechless and a little sad now. What a story.

Taking a moment to be thankful for what I have.

Thanks for posting that article smithers. Damn..I doubt I could handle having only 37 years to live while suffering through life with HIV/AIDS and living in extreme poverty. Reading about the living conditions in Zambia--and other places with widespread disease and poverty--makes me feel fortunate for the life and things I have. Cheek, Thompson, and Koss are class individuals for donating so much time and money to Right to Play. Perhaps more celebrities and non-celebrities can follow their leads (other than the ones who already do.)

Canadian speed skater Clara Hughes donated $10,000 out of her pocket after Cheeks donated his prize money. Canada does not give prizes for medals.
