Conservatives for labor unions?: Wow, baseball is truly weird.

George Will, in Ken Burns' "Baseball", declared, "In baseball, I'm a Marxist." I think it has to do with the history of the game, which is to say the history of owners screwing players. Baseball (sport in general) is one place where Marxism fits well. The entire value of the product is in the labor.

Well, politics are often subordinate to religion, and baseball is George Will's religion. George Will scares me.

Odd that he'd admit to being on the player's side, seeing as he's on the board of two teams last I checked.

I know he's on the O's board (or was a few years ago). What other board? And how do I get on one! :)

JawaKing: IIRC, it was the Padres; if not them, it was one of the other California teams.
