After losing her pole: and having to stop uphill, Stefania Belmondo (Italy) won the gold in the 15 KM cross-country free style. Amazing in the fact in that she managed to recover and was just a breath away from Katerina Neumannova. Simply amazing, and suspenseful at the end.
I use CBC. Mostly TV (great coverage), but the site is good. I didn't see the women's event, but I did see Muehlegg completely dominate the Men's 30k. Which, I guess diminished the effect, but the finish for silver was close and exciting.

The finish in the women's 15K cross-country was the most exciting moment of the day. I wonder if we'll see a better gut-check moment in the Olympics than Belmondo and Larissa Lazutina side-by-side in the last seconds of a 39-minute race that was tied with 100 meters left, throwing their poles into the ice so hard you expect them to take flight.

On a different note, where's the place where the cool kids get their Olympic info? The official MSNBCCCPLMNOP one is crap.
