Hand of God or not, that Maradona could play football. Thanks for the link, JJ. Hours of exploring to come!

Great find, JJ. I've just watched the '66 clip in England and it's easy to forget how dramatic that tournament was. Terrific stuff. I'll probably wear this link out in the next 11 weeks. Many thanks.

In a word, No.

I know volfire's going to get crucified for that answer, but hey, someone asked a question. My answer would be the same -- although I will admit to watching these packages whenever they get posted. I can certainly marvel of the skill and athleticism ... but I still just don't enjoy the game.

I'm fired up for it already...and have a bit of conundrum. If England come 2nd in their group, then I will be getting married the day they play. I have a feeling that half my family would be late...

In another word, Cool! Its fun watching how the game has evolved over the years. Much like our lost Texan, I too will be spending my free moments watching these clips. Thanks JJ

I will be getting excited about it, but first I have at least one more champion's league match to be excited about. Go Gunners!

Thanks JJ. When my provider can supply a fast connection, I'll be enjoying them, too. But for now, I have the memories, many of which are still vivid in my head. My favourite of all time is Carlos Alberto's goal (Brazil's fourth) against Italy in the 1970 final. Pele, with the ball at his feet, on the edge of the area, in front of goal. Why is he laying it off towards the corner flag? Carlos Alberto suddenly appears, steaming in from outside the frame. Doesn't break stride. Hammers it. Back of the net. That's why.

Isn't that the site that worldcup2002 is working for? By the way, I am buying a 5000 dollar television for this event...

WC did the planning work on the site (he is a user experience designer) but has moved on to different groups at Yahoo! twice since then and is now in the main Search team.

I found this whilst looking for video footage of Cameroon's Jean Christophe Massing's 'tackle' on Argentina's Claudio Caniggia in the opening game of Italia '90. I found what I was looking for and a whole heap more!
