Baseball in D.C. Being Thrown a Slow Curve: Thomas Boswell is not the analyst he once was, (like when I was 6 and learning to read from his columns) but his advocacy of DC baseball has aways been on point. Come on succa, let us have the Expos!
You'll pry the 'spos from my cold, dead fingers. Or, you know, next season you can have 'em I guess.

DC doesn't need baseball, they've had it before. Give the 'spos to NC.

I would love for there to be a baseball team in DC (Cal's gone so there is no reason to cheer for the O's anymore). But DC is strongly a one-sport town. Sure, Michael gets some pub and the Caps win something once in a while. Terps and Hoyas are nice to follow. But everyone has an opinion on who should be QB-ing for the Burgundy & Gold. But hey, if Montreal doesn't want them, we'll take 'em (no way I'm sitting in the heat for a July game though).

DC doesn't need baseball, they've had it before. I love the idea of baseball in DC, but I agree. DC baseball is already a two-time loser, and I don't think the third time's a charm.

Succa: You beat me to the "cold dead fingers" line... you going to the Hawks bobble-head day demain?

Er, that should be "The Hawk's", obviously.

What's a "Hawk's"?

Me: "Are you going to the Hawk's bobble-head day demain?" Translation: "Are you going to go to the give-away of Andre Dawson bobble-head dolls at the Olympic stadium Sunday?" Sigh. Me and this writing thing are through.

Washington fans may have felt disappointment Sunday if they read comments by local ownership groups saying that Major League Baseball probably wouldn't be coming here next season Washington: first in war, first in peace and last in the American League. Somethings will never change.
