Gene Doping in Turin.: Sports scientists have long seen it coming, but now it seems that the next level of performance enhancement is already here. And it's almost undetectable. A court case in Germany may just be the tip of the iceberg.
Thanks for the article owlhouse...very relevant. For those interested in this topic, I will refer to the Bioethics and Sport blog operated by Andy Miah.

As a Blackhawk fan, I might agree with you if I knew what the hell you were trying to say. Or, on the flip side, should I feel insulted? Not sure. On point, what will this mean for the future of international sport? Obviously they will not have developed a test for it by Turin. Will they sample the athletes' blood and then store it for the time an accurate test is available? And then, consequently, strip athletes' of their medals and suspend/ban if the athlete is still active in competition? This could be very interesting.

I mentioned gene doping in a recent thread on SpoFi. But I didn't have a link to the scientific articles. The court case shows that it's now very much in the public arena.
