British ballgames boobied by Bundesliga bribers?: "The Sapinas were all convicted in Germany of running a massive match-fixing racket involving referees. Budimir ... admitted laying bets in Britain ... between £20,000 and £100,000 a time, 'mainly' on Champions League and Uefa Cup matches." Hmmm.

OH, I knew that was coming... Probably the same machinations that allowed Birmingham to avoid relegation. Hoohoohoo.

Do you remember the business a few years ago when the floodlights failed at (I think) Palace during a league game? Several gentlemen were arrested who were linked to betting syndicates in East Asia. Does anyone over there in Europa have the details on the story?

Wow! I'm shocked I haven't heard anything else about this (especially since the article is from Sunday).
