The hits just keep on coming: A record 62 home runs were hit in the major leagues Tuesday night, including four grand slams. Not that the ball is juiced or anything.

Not that there were unseasonably warm temperatures throughout most of the midwest and eastern parts of North America. Let's check the game time temps (according to espn.go.com): Boston - 91F New York - 95F Philadelphia - 95F Pittsburgh - 84F Florida - 82F Cincinnati - 95F Atlanta - 74F Chicago - 93F (about 20F above the average for a night game in July, where the 12HR were hit) Tampa - 75F (indoors) St. Louis - 95F Denver - 92F Anaheim - 74F Oakland - 66F Seattle - 67F Arizona - 75F (indoors) I'd believe it was a juiced ball if they were to do this more than once a year, and in different months. But they don't, and they haven't, so I won't. Of course, I thought the prevailing theory was that the players were juiced, not the ball.

There were 12 home runs in the White Sox/Tigers game alone.
