Joltin' Joe has left and gone away ... nay, nay, nay: Yankees fan SpoFites may like to break into their penny jars. Joltin' Joe DiMaggio's first Yankee's uniform is going up for auction.

The next sports collectible I'm buying is Ted Williams' cryogenically frozen head.

I find the really interesting article at teh very end...Jackson's "Black Betsy". After this year's WS I am guessing that it will go for more than they expect.

I just hope a card company doesn't purchase it and cut it up. That's happening more and more now to irreplacable uniforms and equipment.

They'd have to sell a lot of cards to get back $600,000. The uniform will probably go for more, even though the other guy wore it after DiMaggio. Nice little nest egg for an 89 year old to sit on all these years. He should have looked into selling it a long while back when he could've enjoyed it. I'm sure his family is thrilled. Sounds like a cool auction. Wish I had money.
