I don't know whether to be angry or ashamed.: The world's biggest sporting event, and my local ABC affiliate decides not to show it live. It's not like I live somewhere in the sticks either; I live in Atlanta. Is anyone else (obviously limited to Americans) having the same problem? I guess I'll be brushing up on my Spanish for the Univision broadcast.
Originally, Atlanta's ABC affiliate decided only to show the tape delay (a local option). But, there is a happy ending. After what must have been a huge hue and cry, they relented. A response to my angry email: Thanks for writing and voicing your interest in and support of World Cup Soccer. Channel 2, WSB-TV WILL air the World Cup LIVE starting Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. Thanks for watching, WSB-TV "

Good, so that means there won't be the requisite "America sucks because they don't love soccer" bashing in this thread.

I just found out that the local ABC affiliate here isn't showing the 3rd place game live this morning. That royally sucks (especially since I don't get Univision).
