A's Rehire Macha Afterall:
Nothing like a nice call to your former boss to thank him for the opportunity and having it turn into another opportunity to manage the team you just left.
Quite a different sequence of events from this one, eh?
Oh yeah...this will work. Macha should have told the A's to shove their offer up their collective asses.

Macha is a good fit for the A's. He could manage almost anywhere!~

It was Macha who came back from Pittsburgh with his tail between his legs to take the A's original offer. This is really disappointing for me - the A's were lining up interviews with some interesting choices. I don't hate him as much as some A's fans (see below), but he's not once done anything to help his team. He fills in the same lineup card every day no matter who is slumping or hot.
Macha is just a dull baseball mind who was hastily promoted to manager the same way Tom Holmoe was after Mariucci left to coach the niners. Both were in the right place at the right time. He doesn't sound intelligent when he speaks, and nothing about his actions have shown him to be gifted in any way. He has presided over two consecutive September collapses, and watching him duel Grady Little in the 2003 ALDS was like watching two retards having an incompetence contest. Who in their right mind would hire this guy again?"From the "I hate Ken Macha" blog.

In a freakish coincidence, it was only in this morning's SJ Mercury News that one of the columnists broached this very idea. He must be freaking telepathic!
