Back in November of last year, St. Louis alt-weekly The Riverfront Times published an article about Prince Joe Henry, a Negro-League veteran who was seeking his pension (which I posted to SpoFi here). Now, they've added Prince Joe to their staff, giving him his own weekly column entitled "Ask a Negro-Leaguer" where you can e-mail your own questions to him. Here are weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5

Are they seriously making some old guy answer prank emails?

They're not all pranks, fatty. Week 2's got "Do you feel like Barry Bonds properly respects the game of baseball, given his perceived arrogance and alleged steroid abuse?" in which Joe sounds off on Ted Williams (somehow). Frankly, I'm just glad he's employed.

Great punchline in Week 3. This reminds me of the Leno bit where the little old lady answers random questions.

I've just skimmed these so far, but I'd say the guy's doing pretty well. What was up with that trailer thing, though?

"This reminds me of the Leno bit where the little old lady answers random questions." or the Chappele Show's "Ask a Black Dude" and "Ask a Gay Dude."

That one about the sunglasses is definitely a hoax, because there are no Corey Hart fans in Death Valley.

My favorite so far is from week 1, where a writer asks: "Which pitcher would you rather have start Game Seven of the World Series: A) Dock Ellis high on acid, B) Doc Gooden high on coke or C) Dontrelle Willis, high on life?".
