Is it me or should Andrew Bogut: get a few good NBA seasons under his belt BEFORE he disrespects the players who helped pave the way for a big Australian to play ball.

Well, it IS a little early for this guy to be opening his mouth ... but come on! Luc Longley? Andrew Gaze? Christ, how difficult will it be to better than those guys? And really, just because Longley has three championship rings doesn't mean he was much of a player. IIRC, he was part of the famous Whitey-Go-Round centers of the mid-90s Bulls, which generally rebounded a lot, blocked a little and fouled a WHOLE lot. What you had in essence was three marginally talented NBA players who were willing to be a three-headed fouling machine. Nothing wrong with that ... but it certainly doesn't make Luc Longley more than a big stiff.

Aw, fraze, now you're dissing our homeboy Bill Wennington by association. (Yeah, yeah.) Too bad about this -- he's been gracious and forthcoming up to now. Well, I hope this was just a misstep in the harsher media light than he's been used to up to now, and not the selfish side of a spoiled immature kid. I get the sense it could go either way. If there's a mentor-type on the Bucks who might want to sit him down, like, now, and bring this up, this could become a growing experience for him.

I wander how people would have reacted if LeBron had started dissing (random player)... DeShawn Stevenson because he would be the better High School product.

Notice he didn't diss Lauren Jackson? She's the complete player. Although the next training camp for the Australian Boomers should be interesting. If Bogut can still be bothered turning up.

He didn't diss Lauren Jackson because he wants to date her. I am, of course, projecting.

I think you spoke for the whole Australian nation, brother.

I think he speaks for more than the Australian nation on that one. Lauren Jackson is the best product to come from Australia since...well ever.

Lauren Jackson is the best product to come from Australia since . Since Vegemite?

Well, how many pithy one-liners has Paul Hogan had, compared to Luc Longley, Lauren Jackson and Andrew Bogut combined? I rest my case. Plus, Longley is a more exciting body surfer than all of them.

One would think he would take a few cues from LeBron and not act like a complete dick. Oh well. And people say Americans have no manners.
