Goodbye,Reggie Miller.Goodbye,"Miller Time": "It wouldn't have seemed right, especially after the 39-year-old sharpshooter made a teary-eyed retreat to the bench in the final seconds Thursday night."Miller,a miracle maker, always shooting at the absolutely vital moment is now leaving his glamorous career, his enthusiastic basketball career...

Mr. Miller is the perfect example of a team player with excelent individual skill. The NBA will miss a good human.Hope the youngsters take note on how to conduct themselves,in game and out of game,"Artest man listen up!Or just look and grow up"

I think all of this talk about Reggie Miller since he has announced his retirement is pretty funny. Suddenly, he is a model citizen. This is still the same Reggie that constantly complains to the refs throughout every game. The same Reggie that flops anytime a player so much as touches him. The same Reggie who was just suspended 4 games because of the Brawl. I am not trying to tarnish his legacy, but please, not sainthood.

Look, Reggie is very loved in Indy because of his off court generosity and on court competitive fire. He is a model citizen. Just because his on court antics piss you off doesn't make him a bad guy and I don't believe his merits have been exaggerated due to his impending retirement. I'm just sayin'

And this guy never sold out the franchise - mucho props. Mucho. Not a bad goddamn player either. If Hubie Brown calls the cat one of the top 5 shooters in history, well, I believe him.

Overstate much? No. I just suffered through his victory tour during the Celtics series and it's ridiculous. Great player, but we're talking about a guy who never passed up a chance to push, trip, dive, punch, kick, elbow and flop. He's a wily veteran, but no one I'm willing to celebrate. For people outside Indiana, this seems (to me) like Ulf Samulesson being given a victory lap. Celtics' rook Tony Allen managed to get a T for being punched in the neck by Miller.

The fact Reggie can bring out this much conflicting emotion amongst individuals proves the point of how much players like him are worth to the NBA, and why the league suffers every time one of them hangs it up. Of course Reggie was a pain in the butt on the court, and I, personally, absolutely loved to hate him. Being a Knicks fan (HELP!!) I will never forget his playoff performances, how he always seemed to be there and ready when the Pacers needed a clutch performance, and how he played for the one franchise his entire career. The fact that he never won a championship during his years is really only because his best years were spent chasing the best player in basketball history and some dominating Bulls teams. Just like Patrick Ewing.

personally I would have left that dump they call a state once those hicks burned down my multi million dollar home!!!!! The fans in Indy don't deserve a guy who is a good man off the court ans shows up on it week in and week out. I'm from Indy and would never go back to that inbred cesspool
