Hidden: Golf Needs Tiger on Sunday:: It seems that the boys over at the Basketblog are trying to make a move into broader coverage of sports. Besides the commentary, the overlying theme of this effort is that despite DiMarco's effort, the sport needs Tiger winning and chasing the ghosts of Nicklaus and Palmer on Sunday. I, for one, am glad that new names are popping up to challenge Woods and that, perhaps, (though fun to watch) we won't see him run away from the pack and take 12 stroke victories in majors going forward.

Hell without Tiger the PGA is just another league where the players are cut out of a cookie cuter mold. Hence there all the same (see Nascar).
