Breaking Records, Breaking Barriers: a new Smithsonian exhibit that "portrays athletes, focusing on their participation in significant events and the social contexts that influenced them." Including Abe Lincoln's handball and the participants' medal from the 1896 Olympics. It's a traveling exhibition. (Washington Post editorial review.)

Since there is greater speculation that Abraham Lincoln was gay it makes the notion of his 'handball' very interesting. [via here and here] This is a great post that has not been commented on in two days. Has SpoFi jumped the shark?
