NFL Playoffs ads: featuring the excellent Don Cheadle. I've always liked these ads, and though this year they're featuring other less appropriate actors (Dylan McDermott? Rene Russo? Uh, okay), these are kind of compelling. (My personal favoties: "5 Seconds" and "The Catch.")

He is better. That's all. First ad I saw without him this year, I was struck by the fact the ads kinda sucked without Cheadle.

He just has the right gravitas for these spots. No dis on any of the other actors (actually, Rene Russo's not bad), but Don got the gig for a reason.

Why is Cheadle more appropriate than the others, is it because he's a better (voice) actor? That would just mean he's better and not more appropriate. Anyway, I thought the first few were interesting but now I think the concept is worn out and overused.
