The Tsar goes to Graceland.: Mike Fratello is now head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. Eric Musselman has been named an assistant.

It'll be interesting to see whether or not Coach Fratello decides to keep the "10-man platoon" approach, or goes with a more conventional 8 man rotation.

I'm pretty sure the 10 man rotation will be scrapped. It didn't work well for Hubie, and Fratello strikes me as a very conventional coach. Just from watching him on TV, I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to play for him.

Who is Steve Kerr going to rip on now that the Czar isn't on TNT anymore? Craig Sager?!?

Who is Steve Kerr going to rip on now that the Czar isn't on TNT anymore? Craig Sager?!? Well, watching last night's shootout between Dirk and T-Mac, the answer is obviously: The Mavs. I kept on begging that some fan would squirt mustard on Kerr or something during his face time. That man's got more bias than Ann Coulter. And no I'm NOT FUCKING BITTER! Why do you ask?

That must have been some game last night. I was "watching" the Yahoo Gamecast, and when Dirk broke 50, I was cursing myself for canceling cable.

It was good, but if I'm honest, McGrady had a more *exciting* night, visually. Bear in mind that 21 of Dirk's points came from the charity stripe (21/22, not freaking bad) and T-Mac had 6 3's to Dirk's 1. Still, it was one hell of a fun game to watch. If McGrady had gotten two more points, it would've been the first time in nearly four years that two players had scored 50 points or more each in the same game (Kobe and Antawn Jamison in Dec. of 2000).

Looking at tonight's boxscore, we've got our answer on the Grizzlies rotation under Fratello: nine guys played, but only five played big minutes. Compare that to the first game of the season, when Hubie played a dozen guys and only two played 30 minutes. Goodbye, 10-man platoon.

It seems the Tsar has settled the "Top Dog" question as well. Looks like Pau is going to be getting more touches. Good thing or Bad thing? I say good thing.
