"I must break you.": I doubt Kirilenko's agent said that to Kevin O'Connor, but nonetheless, Andrei got the MAX deal, 6 yrs/ $86 Mill.

Andrei has one hell of a great year last season and was being paid ~$600k, IIRC. The fans in Utah will be keeping a close eye on him. They'd better see all of his stats increase (with the exception of maybe rebounds since Boozer's in Utah now). I was pretty surprised to hear that Pau got maxed out, but then I got to thinking about it and realized, well, if the Grizz are going to be in a division with Yao, Dirk, and Duncan for a while, they probably need a big man. If Eddie Winslow Zac Randolph get the Max too, and I bet he will, I'm going to start a pool to see which of these three guys Chan Ho Parks out. slightly off-topic, how stupid is the NBA for having Opening night on Election Day?

I'm not much of a stats fan but that plus/minus stat sounds bloody useful for a team game.

Zach Randolph sees Andrei's situation as a parallel to his. I don't. I think Kirilenko is a better all-around player, though admittedly Randolph's post game is more polished. The Blazers will undoubtedly pay Randolph something close to the MAX, and Zach will continue to loaf on D.
