Germany vs Czech Republic.: Germany must win to go through to the quarterfinals. The Czechs have already won their group, and are expected to field their second-stringers for the match. This leaves Holland vs Latvia a possible non-event. The Dutch and Latvians could qualify if they win or draw, and Germany draw or lose, but it really depends on how "secondary" the Czech Republic team is.

Hear, hear. Go Baros and Smicer! (If they play.) And go Holland!

I figure these Czech second stringers will make the most of perhaps their only appearance in the tournament. Don't want to let the home fans down and want to perform on the stage so that maybe next time they won't be second stringers. Maybe the team doesn't have much to "play for" but I'd say that the players wearing the Czech shirts tonight still do. I say it will be a draw.

Hopefully, Germany will join Italy and Spain. Maybe they could play a round robin Euro NIT.

Well, it looks like Germany has started their must-win game with a positive attitude: five defenders and one striker up front (5-4-1). Hah! Go get 'em, Czechies!

Van Nistelhorse scores from a penalty kick. 1-0 Holland! But Ballack has scored for Germany. Groaaaan. Oh, waitaminute! The Czechs have bounced back! 1-1! Bloody brilliant!

As long as the czechs aren't bounced. (couldn't resist)

I already said that. Twenty minutes left. Will the Czechs bounce Germany out of Euro 2004?

Milan Baros has made it bloody 2-1 for the Czechs! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL! Time for the Germans to Czech out of Portugal.

I think it's fair to say that the Germans will be out of the money, given their inability to catch these Czechs.

Goal! Roy Makaay adds one more to the double Dutch goal haul. Surely the Dutch are through. Truer words never passed these tulips of mine. I couldn't help myself.

Germany's coach will be czeching for new jobs methinks.

Well, Germany will be Kuranyi in their tea for playing one striker upfront. What a bunch of Ballacks! I Kahn't believe that was their gameplan. Frings were bound to go from bad to Woerns. Hamann, what were they thinking? Testing, testing, Czech, one, Czech, two, Czech, Czech.

Wait 'til the Germans get to the airport tomorrow: "How many bags will you be Czeching in today, sir?" Bwahahahahahahahahahaha. I really can't help myself.

If I keep ragging on the Germans, someone's bound to call me a Deutsche-bag.

At Euro 2000, I wen to see Portugal play Germany in the last group game. Germany needed to win, and Portugal were already through and playing their entire second 11. And Portugal still won 3-0. So lets hope the Czechs do the same tonight.
