"Kathy Redmond still remembers Christian Peter's eyes, nearly 13 years later.: "I told him, 'No,' both nights, and it didn't register," she said. "His eyes were very predatory. Just blank. There was nothing there. I remember that vividly. Nothing behind those eyes. It's like these terrorists, you wonder how they can do what they do. It's just a lack of conscience."

That 1995 Nebraska team was notorious for this type of thing. Remember Lawrence Phillips? He was last seen bouncing around the CFL, and it doesn't look like he has changed his behavior at all.

"Then there was the ever-present football-player-rapist..." Were the Butthole Surfers right?

This kind of shit is always getting hush-hushed here in Madison, with the UW athletes. Makes me so sick to my stomach. Barry Alvarez's precious football players get away with so much.

Rocketman, I used to work with a guy who would go to a major NCAA football game with his friends every year. Out of his dozen or so trips, the one to Madison is forever etched in my brain. While they were pre-partying at some bar there, he turns around and notices a guy next to him being serviced by some co-ed in front of a cheering crowd. A bizarre scene as he describes it. I know our major football programs have a lot of problems when it comes to recruiting with promises of sex and booze (see Colorado) but it scares me even more when it is society as a whole fostering that kind of behavior.
