The Giant Bachelor: Last night on the finale of the Bachelorette, NY Giants QB Jesse Palmer was introduced as the next Bachelor. His NFL career has pretty much never gotten into first gear, losing all three starts he got last season, and looks to be released shortly. Is this is stab at a last 15 minutes or will it be the boost his career needs to get going?

I hope Jesse and his bride-to-be fair better than he did as a NFL quarterback. [Oh, and sure Billy, we believe you.]

I don't think this guy has much of a chance. A pro athlete in the biggest media market in the world that has to go on television to get some play? Sure, he must be a reeeeeeaaaaalllll catch. ha ha ha ... catch.

lilnemo, my friends Tony and Christopher just love those things but are more than willing to kneecap you for teasing me, m'kay?

No tease whatsoever bill. In all honesty, it was an attempt to deflect the usage of said name: "billy" to that of a jovial if chronically overused, and annoying fish. Believe it or not my first name has variations that are worse and more likely to be teased than "billy".

They tried to infuse some athletes into this last season. Justin Sherrod, a Red Sox outfield prospect...an Arena Football Player (Damon) and a hockey player (Harold) Sherrod got kicked out on the first night...not sure about the others. I guess they're gonna get an athlete through one way or another. Maybe finding happiness on the national stage will help Jesse as a player and we can finally have a successful Florida QB.

[Author's note: My wife watches these shows, not me, and was very excited to tell me thinking the sports connection might get me to watch next time. Ha!]
