The UConn Women Are Perfect: Are they the greatest of all time? IMO yes they are, but I am biased.

'Best ever' is a really, really hard thing to measure in any sport, but UConn certainly has as legitimate a claim as anybody. It's a shame that it's not (IMHO) very good for the sport to have a team this dominant. They were fun to watch, in limited doses. [How anyone can watch 39 35+ point blowouts is beyond me, no matter how much you love the team.]

I liked watching this year's UConn team play this season, but the "greatest ever" bit might be East Coast Hype, when you consider that Tennessee did the same thing four years ago. Yes, UConn ran the table, and it's not as if they played a weak schedule, a lot of top 10 non-conference opponents even out the Big East cupcakes. But Tennessee went 39-0 four years ago while having to play a lot of really tough teams, twice, by virtue of being in the SEC. That's in addition to playing all the obligatory top 10s out of conference.

Probably... I think a good measure of how great a team is is looking at how much better they were than their competition... and there's no denying that this year's team is simply much much better than the rest of the top teams this year.
