New England sets Super Bowl record! : They're the first team to wear three different uniform designs to the Super Bowl. "Given the teal nightmare that is the Carolina Panthers, [the] Pats have already won the game's sartorial battle, no matter what happens on the field."

it's a battle of the basement as far as i'm concerned when it comes to the super bowl unis this year. this is easily the most ugly looking super bowl ever. and i challenge anyone to come up with something worse. when did the NFL get all world league on the unis? seriously, if i weren't already familiar with the unis i would think it was the orlando thunder vs the ohio glory..taken it back to '92 in the WLF.

I'm a uniform buff (seriously, I'm actually contemplating a team by team analysis - in middle school I used to design uniforms with markers - I still have them stashed under the bed in my mom's house). I disagree that the Elvis on the shoulders was a problem. I prefer it to the vertical stripe by a long shot. Though I do like navy over the royal blue. The Panthers aren't that bad, really, though the stupid disappearing stripes on the helmet need to go (Baltimore, Tennessee, and others have this crap too). At least the Pats pants match their helmets and neither team is monochrome. I hate all the teams going solid dark this year, it's hideous. The problem is that mainstream idiots actually like that look. Where's the taste? My roommate made a team in Madden with white helmets and a black/black home uniform and a white shirt/red pant away. It's disgusting. While I enjoy the simplicity of the Packers design, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the best, simply because of the color combo. Who, out of all the teams, has the worst uniforms? I've got to say the Bills, hands down. Horrible. Too many colors (2 shades of blue), stupid shoulder patches, monochrome, etc. The Titans have the stupid shoulder patches but it still looks almost OK (except their teal experiment). It's either the Bills or the Jags teal shirt/black pant look, which even while following the pants matching helmet rule still makes me want to puke. I put far too much thought into this.

I thought the Orlando Thunder played in some lurid fluorescent yellow?
