From yesterday's huddle:

I bet Howard was a huge deadhead

This guy spent quite of bit of summertime in 1987-1995 hanging out at various Dead shows, from Oakland to Deer Creek, IN to Atlanta, GA. While many made their spare change selling "kind veggie burritos" (beans in a tortilla), I found it more profitable to have a cooler full of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for sale (or barter for various mind-altering substances).
