The Athletic has an intriguing (paywall protected) article on Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and the rivalry between Packers fans and Lions fans.

It seems serious. NoMich would know. Today will tell a tale.

My mom grew up a Packers fan. I remember us having a The Pack Is Back bumper sticker on the ol family wagon when they hired Bart Starr as their head coach. The Milwaukee Sentinel Journal was their big city newspaper.
