Michigan v Texas at *noon*? And Colorado v Nebraska *tonight*? Shouldn't these games be switched on the schedule?

If they had scheduled the first game in Texas instead of Ann Arbor, they could have pitched it as a High Noon shootout. Putting it early gives unabashed UM alum Rich Eisen more time to go on and on about it well beyond the limits of informed sports journalism and squarely into the area of (unwanted, enough already) homie fantertainment.

Football fans in Michigan shouldn't feel slighted though. The Lions play a prime time night game tomorrow. At home. Against Matthew Stafford and his "me-me-me, I don't know if I like that Taylor Swift" spouse. Who will not be at the game because she didn't like getting booed the last time she went to a Rams game in Detroit. Good thing her hubby never played for the Eagles. She'd be in the witness protection program having her groceries delivered to a bunker.

There are more than a few people quietly hoping that Coach Deion gets run out of Boulder and would love to see Matt Rhule's squad help out in that regard. In front of as many viewers as possible.

Deion's CU program does great against crap ass football squads, so the Buffs shouldn't have much of a battle tonight.

You're right, it wasn't much of a battle.

Detroit fans have to be pleased with the Huskers new QB, son of Lions stalwart Dominic Raiola.

Frankly, I was shocked to see the score when I finally tuned in.* Not so much because I thought that Colorado was any good (they aren't), but more so that Nebraska isn't so terrible that they could beat up on Colorado.

My thought on the Huskers was "beat 'em while you can", expecting that Coach Rhule still had the college game chops to bring a downtrodden program back up to a competitive level. But it looks like he's already accelerated past the early stages of regaining footing and building momentum.

Rhule was going nowhere at Carolina, but if he excels at Nebraska and Stroud continues to shine in Houston while Bryce Young continues to suck and the Panthers keep getting hammered by the likes of the mid pack (at best) Saints, Mr. Tepper is liable to enter the 50 meter indoor beverage toss.
