The trajectory of Paul Skenes sort of reminds me of the 1980's when Roger Clemens and Calvin Schiraldi came out of the Texas program together.
At the time, Schiraldi was regarded as the better prospect, but it was Clemens who lit up the majors.
When Skenes was coming out of college, for a while there was more buzz about his LSU teammate Ty Floyd, but Floyd has been hampered by injuries and Skenes has gone on to become the talk of MLB.
